SHGSC provides the opportunity to participate in soccer programs that are run in a safe, fair and secure environment. We offer a variety of age appropriate programs that emphasize sportsmanship and team comradery, with an emphasis on helping the individual player develop their athletic skills to their full potential.

We offer two Co-Ed Clinic programs designed to teach soccer fundamentals while having FUN! All games are played at Sacred Heart School on Saturdays. Kinder-Kickers (Grade K) for beginners. Clinic (1st and 2nd Grades), for developing soccer skills and team play.

In House
We have Two Co-Ed Inhouse Programs for players in 3rd through 7th Grades. Players will be placed into either a Junior or Senior league, with teams based on grade, size, and ability, in order to ensure balanced competition. Most games will be played on Saturday at local area fields. Inhouse teams generally have a moderate time commitment (practices 1-2 times / week).

Travel
SHG Soccer travel teams participate in the Archdiocese of Baltimore Soccer Program (ABSP) with games being played on metro area fields. Travel team are usually single gender. Most travel teams play at a more serious level of competition than our Inhouse teams and have a slightly higher time commitment (practice 2-3 times / week). ABSP Boys games are played on metro area fields on Saturdays. ABSP Girls games are played on metro area fields on Sundays.
Club-Level Travel
SHGSC provides opportunities for club level travel teams competing in the area's major travel soccer programs and leagues. SHGSC club-level teams have participated in BBSL, CMSA, Monday Under the Lights, and other leagues. Club-level coaches are NSCAA and / or US Soccer certified coaches.
While club-level teams compete in higher-level leagues, these teams embrace the spirit of Sacred Heart Soccer. This includes a fun, safe, and player-centric environment with a fair opportunity to play. SHGSC also does not use a traditional try-out / cut approach. Our approach uses a player evaluation and placement based upon an extended group practice / training period. Parents should note that for these leagues, player selection, additional fees, and playing times are at the sole discretion of the travel coordinators and coaches.
How to Register for Club Travel
To register for Club-level travel, simply register for Travel soccer in the appropriate age and gender group. Then have your child participate in the summer workout sessions. We encourage you to attend as many of the sessions as your schedule permits. Travel coaches will place the club level athletes on the appropriate team at the Player draft. The summer workouts are expected to begin in May. Schedule details will be posted on the website and emailed to registered travel players.
NOTE: participation in club-level teams will require additional fees for alternate leagues, tournaments, and jerseys.
